The trees in front of my terrace are losing their leaves thankfully.  The trees are really ugly and they accomplish a major amount of voyeus-interuptus.  It will be good to get my view back.

It appears that [livejournal.com profile] jimcarson may have a second career in dental diagnosis.  He suggested that my tooth ache was the result of grinding my teeth in my sleep.  I had a roommate once who said that my teeth grinding kept her awake so I know I'm capable.  Sure enough, last night I paid particular attention to how my jaw and face was aligned on the pillow and it worked.  No ache when I woke up in the night to pee or this morning.  Wow.

My new job starts today. I got some good direction in a phone call this morning and I'm ready to go.  I have a doc to edit.  My commute was quite uneventful but I did have to get dressed as I need to go into HQ sometime today to pick up and deliver.  I'm ready to get started so I think I'll clip this for now and come back later...

Those darn trees keep growing. When we first moved here 25+ years ago, we had a nice view of the Coast Range to the west across our neighbor's pasture. Now the fir trees on the west edge of his property have grown so high that we have a nice view of some tall fir trees.

Not here in timber country in an area zoned exclusively agriculture/forestry. I would get laughed right out of court.

Besides, in a few years he'll log that parcel off and we'll have our view back for another 30 or 40 years. :-)

How about Agent Orange then? You weren't thinking of having kids were you?

Up north of Vancouver on the Sea To Sky highway they have all these scenic pullouts, but they had little trees in front of them, and now they are just pullouts, no scenary any more, just forest.

I clench when I'm tense, day or night, so I used to have a football mouth guard ($1.99 at Fred Meyer) that would keep the headaches from happening. Unless, as became usual, I had spit out the mouthguard in my sleep and had been lying on it for hours.

Now I sleep with my mouth open. I can handle drooling better than headaches.

Where'd you get your night guard? The one I have from the dentist was hella expensive (though it basically works fine).
