Break time!

I've been heads down since 6 and was just getting ready to take a break when the painters showed up.  So that made it perfect break time.  They are going to patch the 4 small holes in the ceiling and paint the fireplace wall and one side of the fireplace.  There are two guys and they seem nice.  They talk to each other quietly in Spanish - it's kind of like cube chatter that you don't really listen to.

First it was fj and now it's my Mom.  Bitching about the quality of the computer cam. It does suck. And I can't come up with a good solution.  It needs light but if I give the cam light, it gets into my eyes.  I could put a light behind me but I hate to use up the desk real estate.  It's a problem... 

But, the whole desk thing is a problem.  I've got to find an ergonomist (?) who makes house calls.  Is my chair too high?  Too low?  Desk too high?  Keyboard drawer need to go?  Monitor too far back?  Light wrong?  I need help.  But I'm holding off until I get the new laptop table - and... until I can find someone.  I have rev_hank calling the department that does that where she works and I posted a note to a mailing list I belong to and got a response that someone knew someone and would check.  And I've got a couple of other names if those fall through.

The painters now have everything taped off and the holes filled and they have gone to another unit to get started while this dries.  It feels very deja vu.

Wonder if Dinah - the painter who did my walls - had her baby yet.

Back to work for me.

You need one of those miners lights on a hard hat. Makes me laugh thinking about it. Hold a flashlight under your chin? Ok, so I don't have any good ideas, but it amused me.
