Dear Business People.

If you have a service or product to sell and an email address or web email form you use to 'please contact me for more information'... 

FORGODSAKE answer your fucking email!!!   If you can't handle email appropriately, then just do not offer it as a means of communication.

If you offer a phone number, you bust your ass to make sure that if no one answers the phone then there is a message receptacle and you know how to retrieve those messages and you check for new ones religiously, don't you?

And if you use spam traps, make sure you know how to use them correctly. It is not ok to use the following sentence:  'I'm sorry, your email landed in my spam folder and I didn't see it'.

It is very insulting and very lame and says you are an idiot and makes me wonder why in the world would I want to buy any service or product you have to offer.

p.s. Please do not misunderstand me. There are lots of instances where I would be happy to be your customer even if you don't offer me an email address OR even have a website. BUT, if you do, I expect you to know how to use it and when you don't, it pisses me off.

The Calgary Zoo lost a chance to get our money - it took them a month to reply to my e-mail about a group team building opportunity. They called Thursday, after we'd decided to go bowling. I specifically told them that we'd decided to go elsewhere since they didn't respond.

Heh... this goes with my ongoing rant about people who hand out business cards listing a URL and either have a placeholder there or, on more than one occasion, don't even have the URL registered in their name.
