Webcam Wars

I've been trumped - webcam wise speaking - by my baby brother. He's putting up a couple of webcams in his new store and will have one just for Mom with a message board. He wins. Hands down. Great idea. And she will be delighted. He sent a photo this morning of what it will look like. His old son (now 26) was the first grandchild and for reasons no one knows (not even the kid) as soon as he could talk, he started calling my mother, Monkey. In later years, her other four grandchildren followed suit. So Monkey she is. And now she has her own webcam message center in Texas.
I discovered this morning that the billing address on Mom's new Master Card is not correct. This means that when you charge something online, the charge is rejected because the billing zip and the card number are out of sync. Crap. Mom wanted stamps so I was trying to buy her some at the post office website and I kept getting rejected.
Finally, I called the Master Card customer service and when the phone tree rejected the zip code, I knew the problem. I logged on and bingo. The billing address is Mom's address not the address of the people who pay her bills. The good news is that the first bill isn't due yet and the people who pay her bills are the people who did the credit card app and screwed up the billing address to start with and these people do great email. So they will see my email explaining the sitch first thing on Monday and will fix it.
I need to get gas and groceries today. Neither one is critical but it neither one is doable tomorrow since there is a Seahawks game and getting the car out is not worth the effort. So I might as well do it today. I need to make a grocery list before I go or I'll end up with stuff I don't want or need.
My other big chore today is to make sure I have at least 3 or 4 paperback books to take for Mom Trip reading.
Big day here!
(oooh, book-talk)
