A knuckle a day?
Oct. 18th, 2002 03:45 pmI was putting something into the trunk of my car and gashed a nice flap of flessh off the top of the second knuckle of my right index finger. I quckly flapped it back down to where it was supposed to be and then it started to bleed and I mean big time. But oddly it didn't hurt. It looked like it should hurt big time but it didn't. Do you not have any nerves in your knuckles? It did take forever to stop bleeding like crazy. I did remember to keep it bent so that bending it wouldn't start it up again later. I can type with it and I'm pretty sure I can knit ok so it is not at all fatal.
But, more important news is that I did find my friend, Holly! I got a note back from her daughter Sarah. Sarah is now a school teacher. She was walking pretty well last time I saw her but she wasn't talking yet. I think she's about 30 now. Anway, she sent a note back saying that she was indeed the right person and her mother was my old friend and she had sent my note onto her mother. (She and her mother both live in North Carolina but at different ends of the state.)
Within a couple of hours I had a note from Holly. Wow. Amazing. She was the first person who really taught me that being different was ok. We made some wonderful memories together way back when and it's really kind of miraculous to find her again.
And, if that wasn't enough for one day, I also finally got my LJ friends organized. I made a web page with links to everyone and every group I need to check on regularly. Whew. Finally.
Now I'm going to the couch to relax.

Wow you are so organized. And I thought I done good by setting up my palm and untangling those wires and cables.
