My dream vacation
Aug. 5th, 2016 09:06 amOne of these survey things I'm doing for $$ asked me yesterday what my dream, if-money-were-no-object vacation would be. I am not a vacation person. These days I'm not even a travel for any reason person. So I didn't have an answer all ready and I had to think about it and then I found it.
My dream vacation would be to find 2 or 3 or maybe 4 spectacular lap swimming pools and go swim in each. I'd like a luxury hotel at or near the pool with fine dining. I'd spend a day or two at each and then move on to the next.
I actually even Googled great lap pools last night and found that this really isn't a thing. I found one article that nailed the concept but the one pool that looked most interesting (actually in Vancouver, BC) is a membership only pool not open to the public.
I don't want amazing recreational pools. I want a proper lap pool with lanes and lines and no children. They don't need to be quite this spectacular but if this were a real thing, I'd be booking tickets now.

I need an old timey travel agent who specializes in lap swimming. I'm guessing that even in the old days when travel agents were kings, there was not such a thing.
But, I'm keeping my eyes open and maybe someday maybe...
