I am really not a fan of magic of any kind. I'm not intrigued. I'm not entertained. I'd really rather watch a mime and I hate mimes.

------

I have had and used my waterpik once a day now for nearly a month. And I'm not loving it. It's loud and messy. But I also cannot deny the good it is doing. I see the bits it blows out from between my teeth that I had no clue was there and it's made me much more aware of and impatient with stuff that gets stuck. I find myself brushing my teeth more often as well. I'm kind of sorry I didn't get and start using one years ago.

------

The a/c is on constantly now and will be for the next few days. It doubles my electric bill and, to my mind, provides way more value than it costs. (My old unit used to triple my bill so at least this one is more efficient.)

------

My Costco is store #1 in the chain. The guy at the exit who checks your receipt has been there for at least 20 years. He's hilarious. Without holding up the line one bit, he looks at your cart and then tries to guess how much you spent. He's usually on it within a couple of bucks. Today he was off by $10 and I gave him shit for it. He said it was because my purse was on top. "You're trying to trick me!" I love that guy.

My experience with Water Pik is similar. I don't get why you have to keep the button depressed to STOP water from squirting out when you turn it on - seems like the other way would be more logical. But it does the job.

I aim it at the sink, turn on, press button and then put it in my mouth and release button. It never sprays anywhere but in my mouth.

The BJ's receipt-checker was never the same person twice, in my year as a member, as far as I could tell! They never seemed fun, either. I'm jealous.

I'm running the AC a lot, too, as much to get rid of humidity as cool the house. I get to spend all day in AC at work, but cooling the house off in the evening seems like a good idea for the pups.

Did you get a good deal on a Waterpik somewhere?

Costco -- for a Waterpik! Cheaper than I found on Amazon, plus with extra goodies in-store! For me over here, at least.

I need to develop that ability to look at my Costco cart and estimate the cost, because it is always way more than I expect it will be going in.

This post!

I got a waterpik recently and I ALWAYS seem to make a mess! I use mine on like setting 8 and it like, blows out of my mouth sometimes. D: But it is super effective, haha.

I was groaning about my electric bill thanks to A/C, too. I signed up for these alerts when I get close to/over my monthly goal I set.... I'm currently $70 over my goal! D:

Also, your Costco guy sounds awesome! I shop with my step-daughter quite often, and she gets little faces drawn on the receipt for her. I'd totally wanna play the guessing game if I was him, too. :)

I don't have a WaterPik -- I use one of those electrical rotary brushes at night -- but after I had some gum issues a few years ago my dentist suggested an interdental brush (tiny brush that fits between the teeth and pushes out stuck bits of food), and since then I've also become very sensitive to bits in my teeth, to the extent that I carry one around with me and use it after eating out.

My waterpik does an excellent job of keeping my gums healthy. I have used mine for years. Start with the jet in your mouth, with the pressure set on low. Gradually work up to the setting you prefer.
