I cannot believe it is after noon and I have not made an LJ entry today. Guess it isn't the end of the world - at least it doesn't appear to be on its last leg.
I've actually been on a mad scramble since 2:30 yesterday. I got the call that my credentials were ready at Microsoft so I hustled myself over there. Of course, there was a snag so it took 2 hours then I got home and my computer had the wrong software so that was another 4 hours. Then this morning there were email issues...
I'm trying to run two different email accounts out of Outlook. One is an exchange account and one is a POP3. I'm having only marginal success. If anyone knows how to do this, please raise your hand. It's making me a little crazy. And it does not help that the ISP who owns the POP3 account had mail issues this morning while I was trying to get it all worked out. GRRRRR
On the up side, I had been afraid of meetings at Microsoft that end after 4 thus putting me in the midst of the major traffic that I've spent so many years sucessfully avoiding... Last night I left MS at 5:15 which, by my count, should have been the peak of the pits. But, I sailed right home. When there is zero traffic, the trip takes me right at 30 minutes. Last night it took me right at 33 minutes. I can live with that.
I'm still having issues with the work setup here. The ergo lady who came yesterday made a lot of major changes and I think that they are all good but it's tough getting used to them. Plus, I have such bad posture to start with and have spent so many years acquiring bad sitting habits that it's tough. And I need to get up and walk around now and again... I really do.
So I really don't have an entry for today - one that really counts anyway. I do have a fairly long todo list. So I guess I'd better get on that...
Oh, wait, two things....
We did not get the snow we were promised - those lying sacksofshit weather people. But, several are talking it up again for Friday. The problem is that when it gets cold in Seattle, it dries up the moisture and when we have moisture, it's too warm for snow. Someone fucked up the recipe when they were making the weather here.
And, yesterday I was down on the 2nd floor of this condo delivering the latest teddy bears when I saw this fabulous feather boa wreath on a door down there. It's stunning. And it flutters when you walk by. It would be easy enough to make but I would have never thought of it.

Date: 2005-11-29 10:57 pm (UTC)Well, the colors I expect in feather boas don't necessarily occur in nature -- hot pink seems to be popular. Yes, I know there are birds with pink feathers -- and with green, for that matter -- but I don't think that's really the point.
