Afternoon randoms

I finally took the teriyaki walk. This is what $11 gets you. Plenty enough for two dinners for me. Yum.

I got my next shirt cut out and a couple of dolls ready to sew and one doll sewn and one bear finished. I hate having empty chairs which is what I get on delivery day so now neither the bear chair nor the doll chair are totally empty.

Somehow on my walk or in my sewing, I tweaked my back just a little. Enough to make me stop. So I closed the sewing room for the rest of today. The joy of no deadline.

I appreciate having no dog in the baseball playoffs. I am feeling frustrated for my Boston friends.

The second episode of Bull has me far more interested. I don't mind Michael Weatherly but I really really like the other characters in the show. The second episode of Pitch also, surprisingly, has me hopeful. I'm kind of liking this new TV season.

I'm actually starting to pay attention to baseball again, just a bit. I blame you (and a couple of friends in Toronto) for reminding me of the joys of being a fan. Also, the Blue Jays are playing well, and my son has discovered baseball, so I have something to talk about again, after 20+ years of poor post-season results.

I'm happy to take credit. My Mom was a great baseball fan and it was a really special thing between us. I totally understand. And, While I'm pretty bummed about what the Blue Jays did to us, I'd much rather see them win than those stinkin' Rangers!

Plus, one of my greatest baseball game memories was the night I was in Toronto years ago and took myself to see a game and got 'adopted' by a group of the neatest people ever sitting all around me from Sault Ste. Marie.

So... go Jays!

I am feeling frustrated for my Boston friends.

Frustrated is putting it mildly. We have tickets for Monday's game. I hope it happens. And that it's not the last one.

The second episode of Bull has me far more interested.

The opposite happened for us. We decided to can it. We haven't watched the second episode of Pitch yet.
