It's not like I usually go anywhere after I get home from the pool but today, I'm in for sure. Tonight is a home Seahawks game on Monday night football. I live across the street - and four floor sup - from the stadium. It's guaranteed to be a madhouse out there until tomorrow morning. There were all kinds of tailgating tents set up already on my path home from the pool. When I left for the pool the parking lot and area outside the stadium was dotted with morning news teams.

Days like this are like snow days. Great fun to watch as long as you don't have to go anywhere. I don't.

My pellet (think Sonic) counter top ice maker is out on the Fed Ex truck today. That should be exciting. I have a regular ice maker in my freezer so this falls smack dab in the center of Do Not Need it. But, hey. I drink a ton of ice water and I love ice crunching and my teeth are too old to be doing that with real ice.

Oh! FedEx just sent me an email that my ice maker has been delivered. Back later!

Have you lived across from the stadiums for long? I'm curious if the sports temperature changed after the Seahawks won the Superbowl, or if it has been this crazy for longer than that. From a previously not-interested perspective (I've been roped in via my husband), it was bemusing to watch what to me looked like an explosion of suddenly lifelong die hard Seahawks fans. I didn't think that we were ever really a big sports town before... or were we?
