The ice maker is here and huge. It's really heavy but was boxed in such a way that it was very easy to get out of the box (thank you, makers). It takes up way more counter real estate than I would like. I have one of the bigger Kureg's and it dwarfs it.

Since it takes water, it's better placed by the sink plus it's so tall that it won't fit under the counters. It had better turn into a critical resource. It's now making its first ice.

I need to get this ginormous box down to the dumpsters and then I think I'll get to sewing while I wait for ice...

Here's a bear that got finished last night.

So is it like a mini freezer?

Oh, interesting. I was imagining icecubes, but it's more like crushed ice.

I want that ice maker...and a bigger kitchen in which to put it!

ZOMG I have SO been waiting for your review of this. It sounds like the ice itself is a hit, and maybe it doesn't take too long to fill? Do you know what's taking up all that space below the ice drawer? I'm surprised that having the clear window like that doesn't let the ice melt! Is it double-walled? Hope the barrage of questions is OK!

It sounds like heaven! :D

Both of those times are quicker than I'd have expected. Sounds entirely reasonable to me and the size of the ice bucket looks quite decent.

I wonder if they'll make a line-fed model in the future so you don't have to fill it manually. Huh! Their site says the bucket is "air insulated", which maybe means that the ice that melts will just drain into the water tank to be refrozen. That would make sense.
