susandennisI leave in 30 minutes for the dentist. I am not at all comfortable about this. I have one valium that they gave me last July to take before the appointment but then told me just to come in earlier and they would dose me up then. I'm taking it now. I'm sure it will not do anything but what the hell.
I'm living for the words... "Ok then... we'll see you in about 6 months!"

photoholic62 for solving Mom's email problem. Instead of relying on DirectNic to forward Mom's email, I was able to set up a hosting situation with full control and spam protection. It's perfect! It's been a while since I've redirected a domain name. Last time, it took about 3 days for the email to get routed correctly. This time it took about 30 minutes. Very cool. So now she's getting all her emails - to her bellsouth account and to her own domain promptly and correctly. Whew.
Meanwhile DirectNic just now responded to my latest trouble ticket filed Saturday night. Nice. And their answer was less than satisfactory. They are a decent registrar and I appreciate all they did to keep the domains afloat during Katrina and even the LJ commentary they filed nearly hourly sometimes to tell us all about what it was like. I do hope they get their customer service shit together soon. I spent a fair amount of time sussing out other registrars this weekend and while there are a bazzillion, most of them look either shady or complicated.
I have a hard rule about keeping my domain name registration separate from my hosting and I even use two different registrars for domain names so that the eggs get separate baskets just in case. Probably overkill but I was wounded early on by hosting companies and my domain registrars so I'm still careful.
Ok, off to my doom...
