A day off

I did not go to the pool today. It's a one day thing. I'm pissed at the gym. Plus, I did not get a single doll made yesterday and my doll chair is empty and sad.

The credit union let $1,300 charges against my debit card go through so I have to fill out a form and get it to them - snail mail or fax. I'll fax it this morning.

I found an insurance policy for my phone, I think. I have a couple of questions into them now. If the answers come back positively, I'm going to buy a policy from them. (Yes, my homeowners covers the phone. But the $5,000 deductible makes using it for an $800 claim not very practical.)

Getting to sleep last night and staying asleep was pretty much of a struggle. My brain would not shut off theft recovery mode. I did come up with a new pool scheme. I'm going to leave my clothes in a locker and put my phone/purse or whatever in my swim bag and carry it to the pool. There are hooks on the wall, easy to see while I'm swimming. I even designed a plastic pouch with a fleece lining to put the phone in. I'll make that today.

Tonight - or really more late this afternoon - I have another sushi chef's bar date with ljtourist. We're going to a different place. It will be a welcome and fun and tasty distraction.

Now I think I'm going to make a breakfast burrito and get to sewing.

I can only imagine the hoops you jumped through. That the gym was meh when you reported the theft, adds insult to injury.
