Today was a hodge podge...

I'm still trying to noodle out a scheme for carrying my ID, cash and credit cards. Taking my purse (even as small and pared down as it is) to the gym just seems stupid and pointless. BUT, I need a driver's license to get there. I even looked up the law to ensure that it's clear there is no loophole here. There isn't. So I think I'm going to keep my license in the car. If I go clubbing and/or buying marijuana, I'll just have to remember to get it out of the car. I do have an expired one I can keep with me for emergencies.

A month or so ago, I split up my big Pothos plant into pretty smaller pots. The idea was to have them on hand for gifts. They are really nice plants and you have to work so so so very hard to kill them that it's not worth the effort. They are now nicely matured and looking quite respectable so I'm going to take one to Barrie's tomorrow as a thank you for inviting me and making me breakfast gift. I'm really looking forward to seeing her house.

And I made a couple of dolls.

So you have to carry your licence to drive whenever you are actually driving?

Ah, interesting. We don't have to carry any ID or licence on us here, if stopped you used to get what is informally known as a '7 day wonder' when you have 7 days to present your licence, MOT and insurance to a police station however in this day and age the details are checked on the spot by the police over the radio. I've never been stopped (touch something vaguely wooden) but my husband likes to watch those real life police interceptor programmes :D

Did you say your things were stolen from a locked locker at the gym? Yea. It would seem best to leave the important stuff locked up and hidden in your car. Then you are good to go unless.... your car is stolen.

If it is only your license you can probably put it inside the pages of a bible or in a Tampon box and leave it in your car. I am guessing it will still be there when you get back - even if you leave your car unlocked.

Come to think of it the bible is probably safest. People still use tampons but have no use for the bible.
