My kitchen sink is clogged and that ain't no metaphor.  It's a double sink and both now have uggy water standing about 2 inches deep and getting uggier by the minute.  Nice.  And so, for the bazillionth time, I am so grateful to live in a condo.  To live in a condo with excellent building management.  I sent an email last night to the head building manager - Micah.  This morning I called and got Sean, his assistant.  Sean already knew about my problem and said he'd be right up with a fix.  I said that it was NO emergency and just to bring his fix next time he was nearby. 

My hair cutting place has daily web specials.  They list selected open appointments for the next day and offer a 20% discount on those appointments.  It's a heck of a deal for someone like me who can flex to their schedule.  Today they have an 11:30 protege haircut available.  Protege is salon speak for cutter-in-training.  Their protege haircuts are $30.  My last haircut - the best in my whole life - was a discounted protege haircut.  I'm ready to give it another go.  They aren't open until 10 so it will be a bit yet before I know if I've snagged their daily special.

And a book I want is, according to the library website, on the shelf at the International District branch.  If scheduling allows, I may pop up and grab it and then stop by the Japanese grocery and see if they have any of those nice Good Luck Bamboo arrangements for Christmas to take to the party tonight.

And, I do have a work thing. It's a heads down, data entry deal that will take several hours.  It must be done by Monday. And today would be a perfect day to do it EXCEPT.  Another vendor is writing the code bits that include and use the query.  They are seriously behind and fucking up right and left and I just know that if I go in and tag all this data according to what they told me, once they get the front end built, they are going to say 'so we need you to add one more tag to those 245 entries'....  I know.  I know.  I get paid the same and double for doing it twice but still.

Ok, so I think I'll update my book page with my latest read that I finished last night, fix a thing on my puzzle page and then start tagging.  Oh!  salon just called - I won the 11:30 slot!
