While chatting with my brother over 5 days, about every 5th sentence out of my mouth started with 'one of my LJ friends... said/did/asked/suggested'. I heard myself and tried to stop but couldn't.

Edit: LJ friends - in my usage - references origin not type. Like one of my church or office friends.

My brother has long been aware of my LJ habit and even gave it a go, himself, about five years ago but stuff gets in the way. Now, he's giving it another shot.

[livejournal.com profile] bill_schubert is now, once again, open for biz. I'm personally delighted.

LJ friends are real life friends.

Most of my friends came from the internet originally! :)

Well, LJ people are cooler than the general population. But we all know that.

I do the same .... I chat with my LJ friends more than I do with my family.

I speak the same way with Joe. He has said that he wishes he could be a part of the LJ community, but he knows that he will only ever lurk and never post. So he mostly just relies on me to tell him stories of my LJ friends, and it's funny to me when he asks about y'all by name. :)

Yes! But very few people know about my lj friends. Which can make it awkward sometimes, with people who see me a lot in the real world and who are integrated with the rest of my life, but with whom I'm not "out" about lj. like I can say "my friend in Seattle..." "who do you know in Seattle?" "Uhhh...someone from the internet..."

I usually refer to "my computer friend in Texas, Massachusetts, Seattle".

I actually had someone reply recently "The one who swims a mile every day?" :)
