Weird day so far

First of all, there were very few women at the gym today. The pool pretty much stayed full the whole time I was in it but it was all people of the male persuasion. The locker room was empty but when I walked through the gym to leave, it was packed. With mostly men. All the chicks home making dip???

Then a stop at the grocery store where my cellphone had a stroke. It said I had reached my data limit so no connection for me. 1. Today starts a new month. My data limit is 5GB. 2. last month, I used 875MB not even 1 whole GB. 3. How was there no way to buy more GB's when I need them anyway?? GRRRRR

On the other hand, I've had the same cellphone plan for about 4 years now. I pay $30 a month and this is the first time I've ever even had a hint of a problem.

When I got home, and got onto wifi, the cell data corrected itself and now, when I turn off wifi, I have plenty of cell service - weird weird weird.

And snow. The weather people have, once again, taken their regardless-of-what-the-weather-will-be-let's-predict-snow!!!! And so snow prediction it is. Starting this evening and picking up seriously early tomorrow morning for a few inches.

Based on their past predictions, we could have no precipitation or 18 inches. I'm thinking we'll know for sure about the time I would be leaving for the pool tomorrow.

As it stands now - subject to change - tomorrow is bear and doll delivery. So I'll be taking their final photos today and baggin' them up. Probably first, I'll make a couple more dolls just to round out the crowd.

Thank you for the offer but I have a Google Fi invite. I signed up the day they announced and never pulled the plug. For one thing, my T-Mobile, which has never given me even the hint of an issue until today, is cheaper - a flat $30 every month for everything. I suspect that after a bit Fi maybe would be that cheap but likely a little more. Plus, I'm not quite ready to just have one number. I use Google Voice for everything but have my T-Mobile number as a backup when I need it and I actually have needed it several times. Thirdly, while Google owns my soul (and I'm fine with that), I'm not impressed with their current customer service and I'm not clear on what happens to my Google Voice number if I sign up and then decide I don't like it and switch to something else....

All of the above, by the way, was conjugated in my brain this morning once again. Because, should T-Mobile turn on me, I will be doing Fi.

Well, you kick started me into action. I asked over on Reddit about keeping my Google Voice number if I left Fi and the answer is yes and it is easy.

And the price has gone down, it appears so that it would, for me, be the same as T-Mobile.

Also reading Reddit, I see that their customer service game for Fi is, apparently, better than for other Google...

So, if T-Mobile slips up again, it's likely going to be two strikes you're out! If my Fi invite is too old, I may well, come begging for one from you.

Ok so... I'm pretty sure I'm going to give Fi a go. I do have a very old invitation but my research has turned up the Fi referral program where your invite gets us both $20. So... I've paid for T-Mobile through March. So it won't be until about mid-March but I'll be coming to you then to take you up on your offer. If you run out before then, no worries but I will give you first dibs, promise. And, thanks.

Keep in mind that Fi uses T-Mobile, Sprint and U.S. Cellular plus transparent WiFi. It does what they claim and their tech support has been great. You do have to buy your phone unless you have one that is supported and it is unlocked. T-Mobile will unlock your phone if you have had it a year.

My phone is a Pixel from Google and my back up phone is a 6P from Google (and so unlocked). I'm covered :) And my T-Mobile is a prepaid so they don't care either.

Gym attendance hypothesis: Men are planning to watch the game and drink lots of beer, so they have to get the workout in and get it done early if they have any intention to at all. Maybe also the women are betting on this and planning to attend later when the gym is less crowded.

Who knows? But now I want some dip.

Watching the news this morning, it looked like downtown would get a trace and we might get as much as three inches out this way. About fifteen minutes ago I was listening to KOMO and they said the forecast had changed (the meteorologist even talked about the fact that this was radically different from what they'd been predicting) and said that downtown as now in for three to five inches and we might get as much as eight out here! O.o Not sure I believe it, but it sounds like it may be an interesting 24 hours.

Ok so now my phone app (Dark Sky) has changed it's rain to snow and ... 62% chance starting at 4 am. Yep... interesting 24 hours indeed.
