Snow day!

I woke up at 2 and 3 and 4:30 and did snow checks and went back to sleep. There wasn't much but the snow was increasing each time. Finally at 6 there was this.



It's now nearly 7 and it's snowing lightly. I'm at sea level. Even the smaller hills have way more snow than here. The pool is in a neighborhood with a very active blog so it's the first think I checked this morning. Lots more snow than here. Plus, twitter reports say everything is slick. So... no swim for me. At least not this morning.

I also doubt there will be a bear delivery. I expect to get a note from Jeannie (the adoption lady) any minute. She lives across the lake at the top of a hill so I'm guessing she's not leaving the house either.

But I am going out for a snow walk. Just as soon as we get more daylight and I finish my coffee.

You seem to have had quite a lot more snow than we have here in the DC area this winter. I'm jealous!

oh no. This is the first actual snow we've had since Nov of 2015!

we have probably had way more snow predictions than you guys but way fewer actual flakes. snow flakes, that is.

We've had a couple of snow predictions that came to nothing. We had about an inch of snow early in January and a smidgen (visible on the grass) late in January, and that's it for this winter. January 2016 we had over a foot of snow.

I'm so happy this snow went to Seattle and not Portland. We've had enough for one winter!
