I slept like a rock last night. The book I'm listening to before sleep (A World Unseen by Liz Moore) is so good but finally at 10:30 I was just too sleepy. It took me about 3 minutes to go to sleep and I remember not one more thing until 4:52 when I woke up. Usually I wake up and check the time 3 or 4 times a night and get up to pee at least once. However, my sleep tracker says I slept like I always do.

I also swam faster and longer today and my tracker says.. eh, not so much.

Tracker/schacker what the fuck does it know? Not so much apparently. And still I'm its bitch.

I have to sing the praises of my $15 boots. They are just exactly what I wanted my $163 Uggs to be. Oh so comfortable, flexible and very easy to get on and off. I love them. If I still love them as much in a couple of weeks, I may well buy another pair for back up.

The parking garage at the gym has been a giant puddle of wet since the snow on Monday. It's hard to find a parking spot where you don't have to wade through a lake to get to the stairs or elevator. Oh and speaking of my gym (LA Fitness West Seattle)... I generally watch the first 10 minutes of the 10 pm news every night and last night it included a rather lengthy story about lockers being broken into and stuff stolen, including cars... at LA Fitness! This time the focus was on one south of here, not the one in West Seattle.

They got a picture of the perp this time because just like when my locker was pilfered in December, the thief high tailed it to Target to use the credit cards. They had a very clear picture of the perp coming out of Target with the goods. I didn't recognize her. I am grateful for the focus on the problem.

Meanwhile, I have a nice and easy routine where I can keep all my stuff with me at all times in the pool, in the shower and to and from both. So far, so good.

The postponed bear/doll delivery will happen this morning. And I'll get my front hall back. I have a couple of hours before time to deliver so I think I'll investigate why my swim iPod Shuffle was DOA this morning... grrrrrr

Oh, I should read that Liz Moore book - glad to hear it's good! My boyfriend got to read it while it was still a work in progress - he knows the author and helped her with some of the tech/code stuff in it.

:) Will do! I read Heft last year and really liked it - the description of it on the cover flap made me worry it was going to be overly sentimental/not my thing but my boyfriend said he was pretty sure I would like it, and he was right.

I don't sleep well at all. The skylight over my bed is wonderful on clear, calm nights but . . . rain dripping off the oak tree keeps me up, wind keeps me up, and so on. I have a sleep playlist to run through a bluetooth speaker but I hate playing it loud enough to drown out the din over my head. So . . . I found the Sleep With Me podcast (http://www.sleepwithmepodcast.com/) and the guy's voice didn't annoy me or anything. One show he advertised these sleep headphones (http://www.sleepphones.com/products/sleepphones/wireless-sleeping-headphones) (with a $25 discount) and I bought them. The headband is comfortable and I have never heard the end of the show.
Whatever works, right? I just don't want to take up drinking. :)
