My Karma has shot right to the shithole!

For more than a year now, a lot of foods have had a funny after taste. From time to time, it's gotten better and then not. But, last Saturday, I had a sandwich which was as delicious as old.  (Bread has been a big culprit - I could no longer stand the taste/smell of it except as toast.)

This morning, I swear, I had a bite of toast and a bite of egg and literally thought to myself how good they taste - just like they used to.  And then the next bite - see previous entry.

This morning there was no email from Mom.  I called and she mentioned a couple of pieces of news that she hadn't told me before (her crock arrived, Threasa had a family emergency...) she said 'I told you that in email.'  Well, heck, she often thinks she tells me in email but never actually does and/or sends the email intended for me to her drafts folder or to the NY Times.  So I didn't think much of it.

Then I posted my entry about my fucking broken tooth.  And I realized about noon that I hadn't seen any comments.  Did all my LJ friends die?  Or decide that I didn't meet tooth sympathy???  I checked http://www.livejournal.com/tools/recent_comments.bml and no... of course not - you all still love me.  Thanks.

So LJ must have given up the Send Comment Email ghost again.  But, oddly, no one was bitching about it....

Long story even longer, I discovered that Outlook Express had decided that I had seen the emails and didn't download them.  On the laptop, it downloaded 3 of them - not the first 3 or the last 3 - a random 3.  On the desktop.  none.    I keep the emails on the server and delete them manually periodically.  So I killed both OE accounts and rebuilt and bam!  emails from last night to now came rushing down the pike.  WTF??  Two different clients decide to fuck off at the same time?

Cripes!

I am having a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for lunch on plain bread.  It tastes fine and, hopefully, won't break any more teeth.  The broken spot does NOT like cold jelly but otherwise isn't painful.

Now, where do I got to get this karma thing fixed?
