Here are words that I would have bet the moon would never appear in this journal...  I love my dentist!!!!

Seriously.  No kidding.

I got there and a new person took me back to the chair. She took a wrong turn off the bat when she said 'so... what brings you hear today?' 

Well, let me take you to the front desk and introduce you to your appointment taking person who knows all about my broken #31. 

Then that same woman proceeded to chew my mouth up trying to get an x-ray.  Finally she called in someone else who didn't do a whole lot better - I was not happy.

But then came the dentist.  Who really does have the warmest kindest face.  Anyway.  He took a look and said 'so, let me guess, you want me to fix this and fast, right?'  Bingo.  He said that he could!  Then he looked around there rest of my mouth and was just astounded - he couldn't stop lavishing praise on my maintenance work.  He said that Debbie (the woman who cleaned my teeth a couple of weeks ago) had said they looked good 'but not this good!'  I ate that shit right up.

Then he proceeded to fill in the break with a composite somethingorother.  He tried to hurt me a couple of times and at one point had a bunch of crap in my mouth so when he said 'I really want to do this without having to numb you up', I couldn't say 'NUMB ME YOU IDIOT!'....  But, he put the first layer on and it didn't hurt any more.  I even let him drill a little bit.  He was very gentle and patient.

I am going to make a sign for next time.  Whenever he or that assistant tells me to 'relax your tongue' I'm going to flash a big 'BITE MY ASS' sign up.  Geesh!  They really are related to OB/GYNs. 

Anyway.  45 mins start to finish.  I'm fixed!   He would love to replace a few of these teeth with implants and put crowns on some more but he said today 'If you keep them up like this, I may never get to give you even a crown!' 

I love my dentist.

But, p.s. I think I was getting a whole lotta good LJ energy about 3ish and it works like a charm.  Thanks!!!

All day tomorrow??!!! I'm not entirely sure that is possible. I could probably not complain until after lunch. Maybe.

Oooooo, implants. I'd forgotten about those. I can afford it and I've been avoiding my dentist because he broke my endlessly time consuming and traumatic crown when working on the tooth next to it. I'll have to read up on those and see if my courage is up to it.

I kind of like my dentist too. Amazing isn't it?

He did mention a root canal once, I put the kabosh on that real quick, but mine are doing pretty good.

I love my dentist. She makes positive I'm numb and if I asked she'd probably use gas on me for a cleaning. She even pats my hand and gives me a hug afterward. I wish she'd give me a sucker.
