Way fun evening

An evening at Kieran and Alan's is always a great time but last night, they out did themselves. 

"We share The Lesbians."  This came early on.  It was the answer a couple of very cute guys gave when asked how they had come to know Kieran and Alan.  They immediately shot form The New Guys to regulars with that line. 

The back story:  Kieran and Alan were in Fred Meyers early last year in the paper towel aisle and met Julie and Janine - the story is, of course, a lot longer and more complicated - but that's how they met The Lesbians.  John and Jefferson (The New Guys) have known Julie and Janine for a while and when they learned that they found out they had a new couple they were hanging out with, they demanded a meet. 

Last night Julie and Janine had an earlier 'do' they had to attend so they weren't there yet while we were discussing all of this.  When they finally arrived they were met by delightful shrieks of "It's The Lesbians!!!!"  All hilarity ensued.

Kieran and Alan are people collectors and they just have the most interesting people in their collection.  It's such an honor to be one of them.  No matter who sits down next to you, you are guaranteed to have a fascinating conversation.  I never get enough.  The food, as usual, was heaven.  One of the regulars made wine glass charms for Christmas - for each of us!  Each one had our initials on them.  Kieran made it clear that we were to leave them there for future use.  How cool is that?! 

It was a great Christmas Eve.

Today will be my Christmas Day of Choice - quiet and stress free.  Plus I still have some Christmas cookies left.

I love that somewhere along the line in your life, for no particular or obvious reason that I can discern, you discovered the under-the-table societal secret that gay people are lots and lots of fun. Apparently somebody squealed.

You know, I have no idea how I found out either! I think someone must have slipped me a gay mickey early on. I'm soooooo glad they did! If you took all gay people out of my life, it would be not only lonely and sad, it would be boring and dull with zero flare. Not a pretty picture!
