The deal with Universal Yums is that they send you an email with the tracking number. They use a slow version of Fed Ex Smart Post so you get the email about 10 days before you get the yums.

10 days to wonder what county??? What yums???

It's quite ingenious and only adds to the joy that is Universal Yums. Today my box arrived and it is Israel! I felt like I should tape it up and send it on to belleweather to tied her over until she knows whether or not she's actually moving there. But, fortunately, the feeling passed quickly :)

Each box comes with an elaborate 'what's in the box' guide explaining what the treat is and why it was selected. I just had the Chocolate Mint Log. Pretty good!

Halvah! The chocolate coins amuse me, grandparents bribed us with those as kids at Hanukkah. The writing on the orange one is so stylized I can't make it out, except "mini" in white in the upper corner. And a little dreydl. Is it chocolate too?

The orange is mini bagels. The dreydl is marked "not to be eaten" hahahaha - it's wood BUT the little booklet that comes with the box and tells the story of each Yum also has instructions for how to play with the dreydl - what each of the sides means which I never actually knew (but I can sing the song).

Those peanut puffs look a lot like a German snack called "erdnussflips" (peanut flips). Wiki says they are the same thing. They are super yummy and every time I eat them I am puzzled that they aren't a thing in America, since they are about the most American snack you could come up with (corn and peanuts and salt).
