In the mail today was a flyer from Sprint telling me what a valued customer I am. They have a survey they want me to take and they will give me 60 minutes of talk time if I fill it out. But, it looks like the Marketing department got the post card out before the IT department got the website up. Bummer. Been there. Suffered that. S'ok, I'm motivated. I keep creeping up on my minute limit.

I think I'm done for work until Tuesday.  I think.  Three days off.  Yikes.  One thing I really need to do is get out and take a walk.  I feel like I'vd been sitting in this chair for a bazillion years straight.

There's a story on the TV right now about staying in Detroit for SuperBowl weekend.  (The Seahawks fever is serious around here.)  Anyway, they just said that motels 50 miles from the stadium, that generally charge $60 a night will be charging $460 for that weekend.  Can you imagine paying nearly $500 miles a night for a Motel 6?  Holey moley.  [livejournal.com profile] drood, you might wanna consider renting out spaces in your house!  I'm thinking that spot under the kitchen table could bring in, what... a couple a hundred a night?

I'm reading Symptoms of Withdrawal by the son of Peter Lawford and Jack Kennedy's sister.  He is only a couple of years younger than I am so essentially grew up at the same time I did but he grew up as a Kennedy and the son on a movie star.  It's really interesting at least so far.  And will be nice to read this weekend.  I have other books on the stack and two Netflixes and am really serious about that walk. Maybe even more than one.  Maybe even downtown or somewhere.

Kieran and Alan invited me over tomorrow for New Year's Eve - card playing and lasagna but I'm just not so interested in driving on New Year's Eve at night.

Great Scott!!!! (whatever that means)
I wonder what that crappy little motel we stay at in Fife is going for. Wow. Talk about gouging.

Don't forget that every ticket to the Super Bowl has a face value of $600. Whether you're on the 50 yard line or the nosebleed seats. And right now, getting a ticket would cost you a bit more than the face value, I suspect.

And yet, I'd so consider paying it for the Seahawks. They haven't won a post season game in 20 years. They've never been to a Superbowl, either, so it'd be a big deal. Especially for a girl who's been cheering for them, much to the chagrin of her family and friends who are all Broncos or Vikings fans, since she was in third grade and thought Steve Largent was cute.

The only problem for me this year isn't the money (well, that's a problem, in that I'd have to go back into some serious credit card debt in order to go to the game) but this whole baby thing. I'm not sure she's really Superbowl material just yet. sigh

Of course, this is all counting some chickens before they hatch, which I shouldn't do. There are other NFC teams to beat yet. The good news? The road to the Superbowl goes through Seattle. How cool is that?
