Which bear face?

The clock is going back. It's just not loud enough. It was too much money to compromise on what I want and free return so back it goes. But, did I save money? Heck no. I bought the new Echo Show. Nope, Do no need it. I have two regular Echo's that I really under use big time. But these just look too cool to pass up and, maybe, one day... they will chime like I want! A girl can dream.

The ChickCam is making me so happy. Those little buggers are just so cute. Last night, before I went to bed, they were snoozing away in a little chickpile. Their 1 week birthday is Thursday.

There are a few errands I have on my list but, I think I'm going to save them all for tomorrow when the house cleaner is here.

So today will just be the usual. Some sewing - a couple more 'flingers' maybe? Some piddling around and baseball at 4.

I've been playing around with the bear pattern. And with a new bear face. I'm now conflicted. The purple one looks more like a bear to me. The pink one looks happier. I can't decide which one I like better.



Here's the full shot of the latest bear. He's the one that I did from the head down instead of the toes up.

I vote for the purple too... I like the eyes. But I can see what you mean about the other one looking happier... I don't know. It might be fun to keep making both, to mix things up!

Sorry the clock didn't work out. We just got our pretty chiming clock up in our new house, and it's so much better having chimes again!

And, thanks about the chimes. For now, I have an old phone set up that's kind of doing the job pretty ok. And for a way better price than the clock that wasn't loud enough and wasn't attractive either :)

I don't know if any of this information will be useful, but when my parents moved to this house a bit over thirty years ago they bought a Seiko wall clock with electronic chimes. Its hands quite working about five years ago, but the pendulum still swings. It was very much like this one, though I believe it was a slightly cheaper model (they also have more expensive models.) The volume of the chime was adjustable, and at top volume seemed quite loud to me.

I just Googled and found that the movement is available separately.

This is a copy of Seiko's basic instruction manual. I think it's the same for all of their clocks.

The clock I am returning, as it happens, is a Seiko clock! With a volume control but even turning it all the way up isn't loud enough for me. I have a big space and I'm probably asking too much.

Maybe a wall clock is a better option. mmmm Thanks.

It looks like I'm in the minority so far, but I like the general look of the pink one way better, although not necessarily the particular color combination.
