Polly left Mom for the day and things are fine.  She's progressing better than anyone could have expected.  Amazing.

My sister is now trying to stir up trouble with my sister-in-law but my brother is way on to her.  50-odd years of putting up with her shit has given us all good skills in that area.  (He told me that she sent him her laptop to fix.  I'm sure for free.  I encouraged him to set it up with some kind of timed release surprise like porn or something.  He won't but just the idea has amused me for a couple of hours now.)

Meanwhile, I've kind of futzed away the day in a good way.  I curled up in the fish bed with the cats and finished reading my Christopher Lawford book. And added it to my web recommendations.  I updated the Puzzle page.   Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] melodysk, [livejournal.com profile] ruralrob, [livejournal.com profile] geordie and [livejournal.com profile] victory_rose for some excellent puzzles!  Plus [livejournal.com profile] gissa said I could use some of her flickr pix and [livejournal.com profile] machupicchu has some nice new flickr fodder for the next batch!

The condo people came by today and pronounced my walls dry and ready for fixing.  They took down the paint color info.  I suspect they will be back later in the week to do the deed.  I need to remind them that they are going to have to pay for new carpet for the terrace.

I did not do any work on my taxes.  There is always tomorrow, said Scarlett.

I think now I'm going to watch some junk TV.

Ha! Is that a hint?

I can't remember if I've ever told you this before or not. But you pretty much have an open invitation to make a puzzle out of any of my pictures you want.

and finished reading my Christopher Lawford book

I knew him once. Well, not really, but I was in a small class with him when I was a freshman and he was a sophomore or junior. He was quiet and I didn't realize who he was until towards the very end of the semester.
