Ha! Just as I thought.

I've used that line once in awhile at different places, and I've been told more than once, by someone from the U.S., that they didn't know what I was talking about, and it must be a "Canadian thing". I didn't think so, but never cared enough to look it up. Now I know. Cool.

I never saw any of those commercials. The diabetes couldn't have been brought on by too many donuts, I am sure. Anyway, 83 is a good long time.

I was affected some when I heard about his passing a few days ago.

For years after those commercials ended, I would say that catch phrase often when starting unwanted tasks. I haven't been doing it consciously, however I have noticed I've started saying it again.
