Ok, 1. it's 10:15 am and the test results from the labs I did less than 4 hours ago have arrived in my inbox! OMG I love living in the future.

2. I totally passed the tests ... with flying colors!!

The test results give you your results in one column and the 'standard range' in the next one. My results fell smack in the middle of the standard range of all of them! Except glucose. But even it was good.

I scored 99. Standard range is 60-99. But, also in my MyChart are previous years results and last year I scored 110 an all time high of 110. So I'm declaring 99, a victory.

In fact, victory all around. So now, next Friday, it will be in, kiss kiss, thank you, see you next year and out. WHEW!

Yay! You react to doctor visits just as I do. It's this test I have to pass, and once I do, I breathe a sigh of relief for the upcoming year, when I have to worry all over again. I finally flunked the blood pressure test, and triglycerides, and have meds for both. Glucose is -- still ok, but being watched. I do worry about blood sugar.... My annual check is in September.... I always worry. I need to move more.... I know it - have been told each checkup....

Personally I think your swimming helps you more than you realize!

Woohoo! That's awesome news!

Maybe he will even give you a "good job, keep it up" pep talk - but anything that lets you get out without having to consider meds or lifestyle changes is a win, right?

You know, I am very tired of having to remember to sign my name - and of course this time I didn't. I object to the new Terms of Service _for my journal_...but for comments? I don't mind. So if I connect my Twitter account, I can comment here non-anonymously, and the only content I'm giving them is my comments, which I am fine with.

I don't know why I resisted this before.

And then I didn't use Twitter because it wanted to be allowed to post as me. It wanted to manage my FB pages, but at least that I could decline and it still worked. Still! No longer anonymous.

And very glad your numbers are trending in the direction that will make the doctor happier, and thus your appointment easier! :)

I am too! I was so set on not accepting the TOS, I avoided it for this...then realized my objections had, largely, nothing to do with this usage. (I *think* they get my email from FB and as such can maybe send me ads. I will mark every one of them spam if they do, and wish them joy of the results.)

And I get comment reply notifications this way! :)

Yay! Standard range is more like 80-100, 60 is onset of insulin shock. 99 is fine. Fasting, right? Well there's this cute thing the body does when you're fasting, it makes more glucose, because it thinks you are starving. I bet if you measured the usual 2 hours after a meal, your numbers would be in the high 80's or low 90's.
