This morning I wake up to an email from Mom - really from my sister who has now commandeered my Mom's computer.  She's forwarding an email alert that Mom's about to reach her email limit.  She informs me that she has deleted a lot of the email on Mom's computer and, so, has fixed the problem.

Ok, so the email is from Mom's server - deleting from Mom's computer fixes nothing except that now she won't be able to see old emails which she enjoys.  The email limit on the server was reached when my sister's husband sent 2 6MG emails to Mom's account.  The same email twice.  The email contained 2 pictures that were of the kind resolution appropriate for drive in movie theater screens.

I deleted the mail off the server and asked my sister to please not make any irrevocable changes to Mom's computer without asking.  She replied that deleting email was not going to break anything.

She leaves for home early Thursday morning.  It's going to be a long 4 days.

I rarely read anything but mystery thrillers.  Serial killers are my favorite.  But, lately, I've enjoyed a couple of non-fiction entries...  Right now I'm reading What the Dormouse Said - John Markoff.  It's all about the culture that gave birth to the personal computer.  It's actually fascinating.  Those were such interesting times.  Actually, I'm not sure they were any more interesting than now but reading the book helps me remember how very different everything was then.

I think I'll get dressed and go run a couple of errands.

I loathe your sister. I really do. I want to smack her upside the head and I haven't even met her!

Are we allowed to conga in the line? Heck, I've not been reading that long and I don't like her already.

Do you think Mom needs more than 10mgs for her email? I can try to figure something out, if so. Although, maybe not today as I'm about to get busy elsewhere....

The mail your sister deleted may still linger in the "delete mail" folder, but you have probably already checked that.

My sister is xx years older than I am and still treats me like a child - not in any unpleasant way however.

Apart from being grateful that I don't have your sister and mom to deal with, on the subject of books, mystery thrillers and serial killers are my favorites too. I think that I read every Ann Rule book that she wrote before I moved here. Somehow, that combination of true story and serial killer was the creme de la crime of fast reading. Here, the newspapers do the same thing. It's amazing. They write all kinds of lurid true crime stories and keep it up serially in nice big satisfying tabloid headlines.

Well, I have 2 sisters and 3 step-sisters. I like some more than others, but harbor no animosity for any of them.

So, can I get in the line with the others? Yours is really something!
