This entry is going to sound like all the others recently - the differences are so subtle even I can hardly detect them!

Sister revenge.  After my sister deleted Mom's email, I sent her a note asking her to please ask me before she made any changes to Mom's setup.  She replied that deleting emails was not going to break anything.  I replied that while I appreciated the comfort level she had with her own computer skills, next week, when Mom wanted to know where something was on her computer, I would like to be able to tell her.  She did not respond.

After she left for the evening, I VPN'd in.  It does not appear as if she's done anything unfixable but I did notice that she deleted both my emails.  So I just moved them back to the inbox.

This morning she sent a note out to me and my brother and sister-in-law saying all was good and they were going to the previously scheduled doctor's appointment.  So I VPN'd to see that she had once again deleted both those emails.  I moved them back to the inbox.

The amount of pleasure this fucking with her brings me is embarrassing and immature and just makes my day.

She also has not yet, apparently, remembered that she needs me to get reimbursed (from Mom's money) for her trip expenses.  And, then there is the final revenge as I am the executor of Mom's will.  She'll get her third, but maybe not so easily or quickly?  Poor thing.

And we're back on FedEx watch.  The package is, once again (3rd time's the charm???) listed as 'out for delivery'.  Wonder where it's going today?

My new projects haven't kicked in yet and my current projects are in a lull and that's leaving me with no work.  Not so good.  It may mean that today I pull all of the stuff out of the cabinet under the sink in the bathroom.  I need to toss most of it and organize the rest.

For years and years I moved to a different area code about every 18 months.  I never had to clean out the under-the-bathroom-sink cabinet.  The movers always packed it up and moved it before it got junkie.  It's a great way to solve the junk problem, but it does nothing to prepare you for when you live in one place for 13 years.  Come the third week of January, it will be 14 years.  Wow.

Ok, now I'm armed with two big plastic garbage bags and I'm heading in...

I'm having the greatest time picturing you moving those e-mails around and messing with your sister. That is SO just what I would do!!

Passive agressiveness rules! ;)

Is it wrong for me to get a pleasure out of it, too? :)

The way you teach people not to leave their terminals unlocked when they go home for the evening is to put a start-up script in their profile that will execute a sound file of, say, toilet flushing but perhaps the Voice of G-d thundering about messing with the computer would work just as well. Oh, and then you log them off.

I have no idea how this would work in other than Unix, though, but my point is you might be able to get your Mom's terminal to talk back to your sister in a strange and creepy way -- or muck with the email program so that it warns her not to delete anything under penalty of losing all access.

Hey, I don't know how to do this or even what would be funniest, but thinking about the possibilities should keep you entertained while cleaning out the area under your sink.

Oh, that's not my default pic -- I was just testing it out and you were the guinea journal. Actually the one I used above freaks me out as well because whoever that guy is he isn't me. He's wearing the clothes I was wearing on the day the family picture was taken, and he seems to have snuck into the picture without anybody else in my family noticing, but my gosh he doesn't look familiar.

He's handsome, though, isn't he?
