Is it me or Memorex?

I tried to call my brother about an hour ago.  His cellphone gave me a fast busy and/or a 'service not available'.  His shop gave me a fast busy.  His wife's cellphone a fast busy. I figured his phones were broken.

I tried again just now and discovered that it is apparently MY phone and, apparently Sprint!  All of the toll free numbers I can find for them tell me that 'all circuits are busy and to please try later.'  I cannot call out.  I cannot receive a call.  Nice.  Fuck.

I can't find any reference to any outage anywhere.  I wonder if it's only me?  Does my sister have some kind of voodoo thing going with Sprint?

It's not just you by any means -- this is major right now. We at SGI in Minnesota can't get through to the mother ship offices in Mountain View or onto all manner of conference calls -- anything that goes through Sprint. I'm surprised it's affecting you as well, but it's definitely not you.

Ok, here's the note we got from facilities a little bit ago:

We are currently experiencing technical difficulties with the SPRINT
Voice Network. We are working with SPRINT to get an Estimated
Restoration time, and will notify you as soon as we have an update.

Service Affected: This Outage is currently impacting outgoing calls to
800 #s, Conferencing Calls using sprint and VNET services. This may
also be impacting some local and long distance calls.

The problem is with the SPRINT Network and we are working to temporally
route most calls via some of our other carriers.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Oh! Thank you! I was just thinking that the downside of working alone and for such a small company is NO IT dept to let me know of stuff like this.

But, heck I don't need no stinkin' IT department... I've got you! Thanks. Since bigger fish than me are on it, I'm going to quit worrying about it!

Interesting... I just got through to Polly. I've been trying to leave her a message all day and just was able to so maybe... the cut is healing. Interesting how had it was to find info on any problem, tho. I'm so used to getting it dished up fast and easy!

Nope. Our phone's screwed up too.
