Jan. 9th, 2006 04:12 pmIt is embarrassing to me to be bored. But, I am. I now have 5 projects at work. I just got another one. If you go by the paperwork alone, I am now employed to the tune of 110 hours per week PLUS a side job that is scoped out at 83 hours. And I sit here with NOTHING to do!!!!
2 of those 5 'need to set up a kick off meeting with you.'
1 is waiting on approval of the left nav and writing content for me to fold in.
1 is waiting on docs from another group.
1 is waiting on another vendor to get his shit together so that I can take over.
And I have a very clean house, clean clothes, my finances are all caught up and my papers filed, I have an empty dishwasher and no dirty dishes, an under-the-bathroom-sink cabinet that just fucking sparkles and just now, a totally backed up harddrive on my laptop. Oh and the Fed Ex package arrived.
Soon I will be - in the few seconds I can spare - moaning about what a mess the house is and how I don't have time to even shower. But, for now... I'm SO bored!
I just spent a while on the phone with the project manager at work - dishing major infested dirt about someone we just learned that we both know. It was wild. Small, small world.
She's worried that she needs to hire someone now to help me out. She is sending me a resume and wants me to do a background check. That should be fun.
Guess I'll go catch an old Law & Order while I wait. It will all be fine. At least I'm bored in my own house with my own stuff and I'm not stuck in some office somewhere trying to pretend I'm busy!!

Oh and Sprint is now back. Whew.
