My pattern project is a little bigger than I anticipated. I mean it's taking me a long time to do each pattern but I am being very careful and doing every single piece. For instance, Instead of guessing at the short sleeve from a long sleeve pattern piece I am making a separate pattern piece foe each. Come cutting out time, it's going to be a breeze! I only got two done today but both were multiple pattern pieces.

Here's my current, soon to be old way:



Takes up too much room real estate and the pattern pieces are fiddly after they've been rolled up like that.

Here's my new way:



Nice, flat, not wrinkled pattern pieces.

And while I was doing that, the Mariners skunked the Mets nicely. Win Win all around.

I think about that a lot and try hard to avoid old lady clothes. I'm not always successful because, let's face it, old lady clothes are pretty damn comfortable. But, I do try to shake it up with unexpected colors and prints.
