Is she otherwise behaving normally for her? Eating/litterbox/interaction with or being near you at about the same levels?
If your answer is no, I'd take her to the vet for a quick check-up, especially if the places she's settling are less likely to have you around (but even if they aren't).
If all the other signs are good and she's just sleeping places...would they happen to be cooler places? (That table may be hard, but it's gotta be cooler than a plush chair....) That might make sense with the heat wave. (But, it can also be something a cat with health issues would do - cooler places can be inviting for some of those also.)
