I use baking powder about once every decade - a teaspoon there and 10 years later, a half teaspoon there. Today's kitchen reorg uncovered 3 tins of baking powder - 2 unopened, one with a store sticker of a store that closed at least 15 years ago.

Seems like the task should have been done years ago and also years before that. Holy crap. I did find my original Google Chromecast which I spent a week looking for last year. I don't have a clue why it was in the kitchen cabinet.

But now dishes I rarely use are stacked in a cabinet I can't get to easily. And the food stuffs now have more room so that I can actually see what's in there. Oh, and come the olive shortage? You will want to be my best friend. Kamata, green, black... I gotta 'em... LOTS of 'em.

I did break my very favorite bowl. I'm very sad about that. I sure hope Goodwill has another one.

TBS - The Guest Book. Hill-Ar-EE-Us. The first episode was fun. The second episode was a Watch-it-again-right-now GEM. Can't wait for the next one. Maybe Stockard Channing's greatest roll.

The Mariners won today in a really good game with some fun highlights. Got the kitchen done and all cleaned up and made a trip down to the dumpsters where I caught the Metallica crowd filing in. Upstairs with the door closed and the air conditioner droning, their sound check sounded like dumpsters falling off a truck. Down there, in the open air, it sounds more like they are dragging the dumpsters across the parking lot.

Now I need to decide what's for dinner.

I always think cleaning out cupboards is a bit like archaeology, you never know quite what you'll find and it will likely be ancient. A good job well done

You're making me have the urge to clean out my kitchen and see what I find. It could be like Christmas or just plain terrifying. lol

I love that new show! I set my DVR for it not really expecting much, but I really got a kick out of it.

Thanks for the tip about The Guest Book! I was wondering if I should check it out and now I will.
