Amazing quiet

This morning it was cool enough to turn off the air conditioner. And my first thought was oh how wonderful it is to be rid of that droning. My second thought was fuck, I'd forgotten how loud the ice maker is when the air conditioner noise isn't covering it up.

Oh well. It's still lovely to hear the sounds of outside.

I leave for the game in 45 minutes and I'm still not sure what to wear/take. It's supposed to rain a little for most of the game so the roof will be closed and the high will be 68 degrees. But, if there's a good breeze it could get chilly. I think I'll just wear my Mariner bowling shirt and take a long sleeved t-shirt that I can put on under it, with me. The sun is out now but that's probably not going to last. At least I hope not.

I'm really ready for a bloody mary and that opulent buffet. And I'd be delighted if we didn't lose... again.

I just saw where Nancy Purl has written a novel! The audible version is out in September and I pre-ordered a copy. I don't always agree with her on specific books but some of the best books I've ever read, I picked up because she said to. I can't wait to hear what she's done. Sadly she's the reader on the audio version and I am not a fan of writer/readers but at least I know her voice.

Hindsight is 20/20 Bummer we lost, but at least the weather was quite lovely today. The few sprinkles were perfect. I'm sitting on my couch with my front door open just breathing in the scent of wet pavement. Oh how I miss this :)

So was Dave Sims on the radio side this weekend? I saw where he was with a new granddaughter in New York? So I guess not but who did Rizz riff with? Also happy to report that Aaron and Mike Blowers are much better together now. Somewhere before their last match up a switch got thrown and they finally meshed. Whew.

And yes... the cool.

Yes we had Sims this week. He did some games with Rizz, some with Aaron, and some with that Gary Hill guy. Gary's so mellow. His voice is like cotton candy. If the cotton candy smoked a lot of weed. Really it's hard to describe his voice.
