My plan was to pick up all the little stuff and put it all away and clean the kitchen and then walk up the street to the sewing store and either then go pick up something for lunch or hold off and go out to dinner tonight.

And then I looked outside and then I checked my app and then I check the county's air website and yeah I think I'm not going anywhere. I did fine walking outside last night but I can tell my breathing isn't as easy even with the rescue inhaler. So why take silly chances if you don't need to and I don't. I have food here - good food - and no reason to go anywhere. It's supposed to be better tomorrow and there is actual rain predicted for Saturday.

I can wait.

I did get the rooms all tidy and it feels much nicer. I also got a pattern all taped together and cut out and ready for use. I have lots of things to entertain me without going outside at all.

I can do this. It's not even a big deal.

I like a good excuse not to go anywhere occasionally.

I'd prefer a nice rain storm (but none of this hurricane craziness) to the air being full of smoke, but it can still feel a little like an adventure. As long as you know it's going to go away eventually...

I've never seen smoke quite that bad before in Seattle. Terrible what that Columbia Gorge fire is destroying.

Staying indoors is the best option for days like this. I am keeping my fingers crossed for rain too!

The sky looked much better today, but air quality is still moderate, according to my cute little elephant!

Hope it rains this weekend. The Northwest really needs it. Even my place in California has rain in the forecast Sunday night, too.
