OMG Cleveland just tied the Yankees in the freakin 8th inning!!! I watched some of the Boston game this afternoon and it was not compelling. I watched the beginning of this game and was not happy when the Yankees took the lead early so I decided no more baseball and watched Project Runway. But, then, Project Runway ended and TiVo took me back to baseball and I didn't stop.

I can't stop.

I'd love to see Cleveland win this game. It's been a crap day. Not a crap day but not a great day. I feel off. My ears itch and I have a tooth that is going to be trouble and I don't want to face that trouble. I was so hoping that that tooth would last as long as I do but I don't think that's going to be the case. And I'm bummed about it. Majorly.

And tomorrow I have to go back to the slimy pool.

Actually, I'm in one of those moods where everything just has a bummer tint to it. I need Cleveland to fix that.

It took 13 innings, but the Tribe have won it. One more win to the next round.

As that old Yankees catcher used to say, "it ain't over till it's over".

Not Cleveland! Not with that racist team name and logo that have no right to exist ever but esp. not in 2017! And with fans doing stupid "war chants". No. Not them. Not ever. They should be banned from playing until they fix that shit. It's just so wrong. Talk about cultural appropriation (and insult). And this applies to the Atlanta "Braves", the Chicago "Blackhawks" and of course the Washington "Redskins".

That's putting it mildly.

We were out for the evening and didn't get to watch any of the Indians/Yankees game.

We have tickets for Monday's game which will only be played if the Sox win Sunday. I'm not holding my breath. And it's supposed to rain all day Monday, and we may or not be able to make the makeup game on Tuesday, depending on when it is. And it doesn't look like we'll be able to get to any of the other games even if the Sox survive.

This postseason has been rather a bummer so far, but having the Yankees lose makes it slightly less intolerable.

We didn't get to watch any of it -- my voice teacher was having a little in-house recital this afternoon, so we got to listen to the first two innings in the car on the way there, which didn't leave us especially cheered. But [livejournal.com profile] jwg was able to check on his phone before (4-3) and after (6-3 and climbing) the program.

Now I have to wonder what I want to happen tonight. Ordinarily I'd root against the Yankees, but from looking at the weather it looks more likely they'd be able to play at 1:00 than at 7:00 If we're really lucky, the weather will be so awful that they'll just call it and reschedule it for early afternoon Tuesday,.
