From what I can see, the neighborhood survived last night.  The hoots and hollars were still going strong when I drifted off to sleep.  They seem to have stopped now. 

I talked to Mom this morning and she sounded the best yet.  She was bright and energetic and focused and hearing.  She said that she wasn't ready to lose the sling yet and she didn't think her appointment was until next week anyway.  A couple of years ago I programed her phone with the numbers she needed.  I forgot to check it when I was there at Thanksgiving and now a lot of the numbers are old - including my brothers'.  Crap.  Polly will never be able to handle this.  She'll just have to suffer until I get there again, I guess.

Sheri's coming tomorrow at 12:30.  I'm ready.

I have work to do and I need to get on it.  Later...
