The more I sew, the more I find myself studying everyone else's clothes. How are those shoulders created? Where does that seam fall? There's no side seam at all in that coat! I notice the weird stuff. More and more.

Just now I was reading jwg's account of his dance camp weekend when I clicked on the video (which is pure joy for the eyes and ears, by the way- treat yourself) and I spied the most amazing pants.



I am so going to make myself a pair from all the fabric scraps I have. At least I'm going to give it a try. They are wonderful pants. Actually, there are loads of amazing creative ideas in that video. Plus it's such fun.

I know! I've got several ideas about how best to do it. Plus, I love using up scraps to much.

I can't remember who it was who was wearing those pants, and I (surprisingly enough!) can't tell from this picture. I'd have to run through the whole video again, and I'm not sure I feel like doing that.

I only ever see her at Dance Camp (next one is in May), but I'll try to remember.
