My shortness of breath seems to have resolved itself but the coughing is still making me crazy. I woke up several times last night - no huge coughing fit just restless. Probably the prednisone. I woke up finally about 20 minutes later than usual. I got medicated and suited and headed to the pool. I was able to swim ok breath wise but I did have to stop several times for coughing fits. Seriously, this is so annoying.

I'm guessing/hoping that the cough will get the fuck out of here in the next day or two. I have two more days of prednizone. If it's not gone after that, I'm not sure what the next step is. This is really getting to be old.

But working around the consumption, today's project is home made poke. I'm going to give it a try. I got the idea from a woman on Instagram and I'm not sure why I never thought of it before. I have a nice, big, Japanese grocer just a few blocks away. I can get all the ingredients and make it with just what I want. The marinade is simple. The killer may be quantity. Like it is with much about cooking for one. Does the stuff I want come in quantities that make sense for me or will it just be too wasteful and so expensive?

Today we will find out!

And there may be some sewing. Otherwise it will be quiet with the main goal of not coughing.

Sometimes I make poke using frozen ahi cubes from WinCo. They come in a really neat, perfect rectangle. It's just right for two people. If you happen to find those cubes, you could defrost just the amount you wanted, or eat it two days in a row!

But of course fresh would be way better if the price is right.
