And, it's kind of sticking. It's so beautiful to see. It's getting dark now but soon it will glisten off the street lamps. Kind of amazing, actually. What a treat.
I sewed most of the day. Working on my patchwork. And I was loving it less every second. Finally, just near the finish line, I realized that I was sewing on scraps. Basically absolutely free fabric. If I stopped and trashed it, zero would have been wasted. In fact, I did learn about the pattern I was using and so when I make it again, I'll be smarter. No big deal. Stress wiped out.
Plus, I have a great next project. One of my favorite artists is a guy who does amazing murals all over town. He does other stuff, too. I have three of his pieces hanging in my living room.
Here's a sample of his charming work.

Last week he put a really cute t-shirt on sale on his website. I don't need a t-shirt (for sure) BUT I love to support him so I bought one.

And then I got a great idea of what to do with it. A while back I bought some fabric online. One of the pieces turned out to be not at all what I thought it would be and I shoved it into the back of my stash pile. But my idea led me to check my fabric data base and whoa. There was the perfect match. So there will be a new shirt made with It's complicated on the front and this fabric on the sleeves and back!

I figured out some fixes to issues this afternoon and it's going to be just the coolest shirt ever.
When I turned around after stacking up the work in progress, I looked out the window and there was snow. Wow. Just wow. It will be gone soon enough - probably in a few hours so I'm just going to enjoy it all I can.

Date: 2017-12-25 03:13 am (UTC)I woke up to a very slight dusting of snow and thought nothing of it. An hour later, it was coming down heavy and piling up! Way more than they predicted!
