While i waited for Frank, I sat in the Costco food court at the picnic tables and finished off my gynormous piece of pizza and watched the crowds go by. I was judge and jury with every cart. After a bit I even pictured myself in a black robe with a gavel.

One guy had 12 gigantic tires in his cart with his big bag of grated cheddar cheese and a smaller bag of potato chips.

One guy had only 4 bottles of vodka and a huge pack of Depends.

One woman came by and I have no idea what was in her cart (not much) but she was making her 1 year old giggle like crazy. It was hilarious.

It was really better people watching than the airport with better and cheaper food and lots more parking.

------------

Dear Whoever invented heated car seats, I love you so much.

------------

I used to not even notice but now, when I hear someone trying to use an accent that isn't theirs, it's offensive. Whether they are doing it for clear mock or just because they think it's fun/cool, I think it's just insulting.

-----------

Zoey is insisting on my total attention today. I have no idea what the deal is but she's making me crazy.

----------

I went to Costco and walked in from the parking lot, walked all around the store, hauled my shit back to the car and then all the way up here to my condo and never once stopped to catch my breath. Didn't need to.

I think I'm fixed.

I just set a wake up call for 4:30 tomorrow. I'd really like to be at the pool at 5 so I can have at least an hour of a leisurely swim. I will be swimming with my fingers crossed.

I did get new goggles at Costco. And I cut out the pieces for 3 new swimsuits and their linings.

I really miss Costco. They are building a brand new one in Spokane, couple hours away. I am wondering if that is close enough to get a membership again, LOL.

I suspect that if I was caring for an adult in diapers, I would likely buy liquor by the four-pack.

What a slice of humanity, for real.

Also, I agree about accents.

I share your love of heated car seats. This is the first year I have had one.The friend I winter swim with has them, and it sure makes a difference when we're cold.

Right there with you on seat heaters! The first car we had with them, they weren't even on the list of things we were looking for... but it came with them so we went with it. After that first winter we vowed to never again buy a car without them! My most recent car came with seat heaters and seat coolers... and I honestly thought I'd never use the latter. But on a summer day, getting back to the car after hiking or doing a 10k? Oh wow... they are sooooo nice!

I'm with you on imitating accents that aren't yours. It is insulting - especially if it's done badly with a hint of exaggeration making the accent sound like a cartoon. I know people that do it incessantly and there's no stopping them.

"People of WalMart" - probably not much different than People of Costco! 3 bottles of Vodka? No wonder he needs Depends! *snicker* Except - I probably could have used Depends a few weeks ago without drinking any vodka! LOL!

Good luck on the swimming. I'm putting up some good vibes for a great swim to start your day just perfectly!

Well, everybody else has already said whatever I was going to say, but anyway I found this amusing.

Dear Whoever invented heated car seats, I love you so much.

I was especially glad to have them during that week and a half when the temperature here never made it into the 20s. Our new car has three intensity settings for them, and they work really fast.

I went to Costco and walked in from the parking lot, walked all around the store, hauled my shit back to the car and then all the way up here to my condo and never once stopped to catch my breath. Didn't need to.

Yay!
