Planned vs. Actually Did

I was going to sew up a bunch of fleece patchwork. I have a jacket/cardigan in my head. But, then I saw a bag on Instagram that I needed to try. Bags are fun to sew. I'm very picky about my bag. It must have a cross body strap. It must have enough but not too many pockets. It must be secure enough to land upside own and keep its contents but easy enough to open on the fly.

Such a bag has a lot of small steps and moving pieces. Today's bag is going to be a winner, I believe. I could have kept going on it and finished it probably but I dd need to get a little walk in and other stuff done. So more bag work tomorrow.

The shades guy came by and showed me options and ideas. He's such a nice guy and just fun to deal with. After I heard it all, I ended up choosing the one he recommended originally. The guy knows his stuff. The shades will open from the bottom or the top or both which will be really nice. They work from a remote control, an android app, or Alexa. They are insulating. White/cream on the outside. And I picked SnowBerry for the inside.





The actual color is more like the swatch than the top picture. 3 weeks. Might be sooner. So 1st or 2nd week in March. Happy birthday to me.

I have no idea what's for dinner but I do have options. And I have a salad (one of those packaged deals from Trader Joe's) so maybe some pasta with butter and that salad... Maybe.

The blinds look like they'll be great! Everyone thought I was crazy paying the little bit extra to get ones that opened from the top or bottom for our house, but we've absolutely loved opening them down a little, and peering out the tops of the windows... Bryan especially likes this, since he is so tall and can see everything this way, but I also really like having just the tree tops visible, so I can think I'm in a forest...

I like Snowberry, it's pretty. I too like a crossbody bag, I always have Healthy back bags because I like all the pockets

I used to think the more pockets the better but then I had a bag with so many pockets I could never find anything!
