Someone in my LJ friends list mentioned Corner Gas - a Canadian TV show. Full seasons are on YouTube and I started watching season 1 this afternoon.

Gold - comedy gold. I chortled. I snorted. I LOL'd.

Thank you so much, whoever you are. You have led me to hours and hours of joy.

Edit later: My very alert friend restoman reminded me that it was kishenehn who's entry I read about Corner Gas. I am so grateful.

And, heck, I had already had a pretty fun day. I met my Instagram friend for lunch and it was fun.

I've been on the hunt for some Stouffer's welsh rarebit. Stouffer's website says some QFC grocery stores have them but I haven't found one yet. Before lunch, I popped into the QFC at University Village. BINGO! So... guess what's for dinner?

It wasn’t me, but omg, I Love that show! Brent Butt and Nancy Robertson and the rest are hilarious. There’s a movie too, but for watching once you’ve finished the series. As it is for tying up things from the series end. 😁👍🏻

Oh that is good news about the movie.

As it is, I plan to try to limit the number of episodes I watch a day to make it last as long as possible.

There's a new animated version of Corner Gas starting soon, end of March I think. I love the original too.

...And I need to thank both you and Mark for turning me on to this hilarious show! I have now watched the first 5 episodes since my comment above, and I am hooked! ~I am just too tired to watch anymore tonight.

So thanks, Susan, for educating me about this show which has given me some of the best laughs I have had in weeks!

It could have been me, as well... Corner Gas is in my top ten favorite TV shows of all time! I stumbled across it after a Canadian friend mentioned the "werewolves vs. robots" scene... I found that one online and started hunting for more. The show wasn't available on DVD in the US back then, so we made a border run and picked up the first two seasons (at Costco!), which were the only ones out at the time. Then, every year we'd make another run to get the next season.

A few years back, they did a Kickstarter to raise money to do a movie and I pledged on it. We drove up to Abbotsford, BC to see it in a theater there so I could see my name in the credits on the big screen!

BTW, if you're watching on YouTube, definitely look for the ones uploaded by Pete Boy. His uploads all came out normal... while some of the other ones out there seem to have that issue where they're sped up. I found this out when I tried watching the show via YouTube while traveling.

That is very very cool. I just heard about the movie and see now that it's available at Amazon. It's so nice to know that once I get through Pete Boy's episodes (and thanks for that tip, btw) it's nice to know I'll have it to watch.
