All day long I've thought it was Friday and wished it was Thursday cause I need that extra day to get everything done that is due on Monday. So periodically today I've been delightfully surprised to realize that it is only Thursday and I do have an extra day.
I got a lot done today for four different clients - follow the bouncing ball... and got the list of 'todo's from the latest new one. It's a good list. Mindless pounding through the publishing system fixing this bit and checking it off and then on to the next one. That's going to make for a good weekend day.
Plus, I managed to run out to Goodwill to see if I could a cheap folding table to eat on until I get the big one fixed. Scored big time. First of all, they have totally redone our Goodwill store and they did a great job! They put in mirrors and changing rooms and have everything way better displayed and organized. It cost me $35 to get out of there but I got:
1. Dress pants and jacket suit - Liz Claiborne - look pretty new to me.
2. Red sweater to go with the above
3. New screwdrivers - one phillips/one flat with nice fat easy grip handles
4. Needle nose pliers with nice fat easy grip handles
5. 2 pair of fuzzy warm socks - brand new (they had a fair amount of stuff that was new like in Target new)
6. A nice small purse/large wallet thing sold as used but it still had the Buxton tags on it and pull off plastic protecting the obviously never used mirror!
7. 2 wooden folding tables that when I don't need them any more I can stash them, or trash them or give them back to Goodwill.
Quite a lovely haul if you ask me.
And my CPA guy just called and the amount I owe for taxes is about 20% less than what I expected! But, I suspect his bill will take care of that savings. I'm glad to pay the bill. He did good.
Plus, I still have that extra day to get more stuff done. I'm happy.
