We'll deliver it Thursday... nah, you can do better than that. Well, ok, how about Monday?

This is the rest of the yarn for my crochet project. And just before that, I got a nice email from UPS saying they are bringing the replacement remote for my bed tomorrow.

Nice way to start off the week.

I did all the laundry yesterday so nothing to clean today. Actually, I have nothing planned for today at all. I think I need to start getting out and at least walking around the block once a day.

As often happens, someone today remarked about my dedication to daily swimming or my perseverance to it. I get this a lot. I've got a new way of explaining it now. Some people - a lot of people - most people? - feel like getting outside into the fresh air is something they want and need to do and feel sad if they don't get to at least once a day.

Swimming is my fresh air. I don't care if I ever get outside. Outside, to me, is simply a necessity to getting places. I don't crave it, I don't enjoy it, I avoid it as much as I can. I don't like the wind, I don't like the sun's glare, I don't like it too hot or too cold. Outside is just one big crap shoot.

But, if I can't get to the pool every day, I'm not a happy camper. Plus it's the way I like to start my day. I kind of think that impressing people by doing it is like cheating. Doesn't stop my enjoyment of it, tho. I spent the first 65 years of my life avoiding anything that came close to athletic activity. That I now enjoy a physical activity so much that I want to do it the first thing every single day amazes me.

Never the less, I do find that cumulatively, walking for a bit - 15, 20 minutes a day - inside or out - has beneficial results. So I don't like it but I'll do it and I'll do it today.

But I will also sit and work with yarn and watch baseball.

Your USPS bit is too funny. Same happened to me.

Tuesday: we will deliver your pkg 4/9
Wednesday: Your pkg will be delivered 4/7
Thursday: Your pkg has been delivered.

Ugh.

Not responding directly to this post -- but any chance you'll be at the 4/17 game? My brother is throwing out the first pitch!

Yeah - he's really excited. (Nervous, but excited :-) )

Me? I'd stand about three feet from home plate and still miss!

He's the CEO of a non-profit called Giving Compass (which helps people figure out how to be philanthropists in keeping with their interests and beliefs.) Giving Compass was founded by Jeff Raikes, who is one of the co-owners of the Mariners.

It's a new job for my brother - he just started there a couple of months ago.
