Nah... never even noticed. All I care about is that I can get my backpack under the seat. Last time I took the United run a couple of years ago, henare made a crack about the tiny plane going on such a long run or I would have never thought a thing about. I'm oblivious...

Well, perhaps you'll notice now. It sounds like there's a little guy trying to hacksaw into the plane after it shuts down. It's an emergency hydraulic pump balancing the pressure in the hydraulic systems as they depressurize.
