Now we're talkin'

susandennisOk, I have learned that it is highly likely that I will get 2 paragraphs into this entry and everything said in the first two paragraphs will turn out to be a lie, but hope springs eternal...
This is the perfect work day so far. Up early. Checked email. Found doc from writer that was promised. Edited and sent on a good 2 hours before the deadline. Showered. Answered email. Fixed the first of 12 pages on one site that need to go live tomorrow morning and sent the staging URL off for a 'check this and if it's what you want, I'll do the rest this morning'.
Now I have a little breather before I'm on to the next thing. So I'm having more coffee, talked to Mom and now reading LJ and adding my own. This is the good work day...
Mom sounded ok. Not unhappy but just kind of deteriorating in mind and body. Her lungs are so full of junk you can hear her every labored breath but she's so used to it she doesn't even notice. She hates having the sitters there but we did finally fire and replace one that was really annoying her. But she's so tired of having someone around all the time and not yet confident enough to be without. She is excited about my coming to visit. Polly said that she has now told her 3 times in the past 2 days.
I need to make yet another library run sometime today and stop by the grocery. Alan and Kieran are coming over tomorrow night and I need a nibble to go with the wine we will have here before we go off - through the snow they are predicting - to the Chinese restaurant. And I want to see if there is anything good in the After Valentine's Day Sale candy bin. I love plain old Hersey's chocolate and the week after Valentine's Day is the best time to cash in.
Ok back to work for me. If today keeps on like this, I could even have some LJ entries that were not exactly the same as yesterday as the day before as the day before that... maybe.
