Luxury

It is 7 a.m. and I am typing this in bed listening to NPR and enjoying my coffee.  This is luxury.

My restuffed chaise cushions will be here between 11 and 11:30.  Sheri sent a note that her new assistant will be delivering.  This is the first I have heard about an assistant.  Interesting.  And, hopefully, it will enable Sheri to get more stuff done faster.  I am jazzed about finally getting the chaise so that I can actually enjoy sitting there.

The new chair mat arrived yesterday and it's wonderful.   It looks nice and it works great.  My chair rolls nicely now.  On Monday, Sheri's bringing Jake to raise the desk so that I can open the bottom file drawer with the chair mat there.  He's also going to look at the coffee table to see how to make top raise and lower more easily AND raise up higher so I can use it for a dinner table again.

Kieran and Alan are coming over tonight so I need to pick up stuff and put away stuff.  Not too much but a little.

No more promise of snow.  They took it out of the forecast. buggers.

It is a silly endeavor to even pretend I am open minded these days.  I am loving this whole Cheney as shooter thing just way too much.  I really can't get enough of it.  It's like all news shows are The Daily Show.  On NPR this morning they read two letters from listeners who were disgusted by NPR's continued coverage and their making such a big deal out of something that did not warrant it.  They asked NPR to respect privacy and move on.   I was disgusted at the opinions of the letter writers!

Ok.  Time to get up and get dressed and make a few donuts.  I'm so lucky and so grateful.

I am reminded how different your and my attitudes towards time of day are when you can use the term "luxury" and "typing at 7:00 AM" in the same breath.

As for the Cheney thing, I think it's getting too much press -- not because I have any sympathy for Cheney or think there's a "good taste" question, but because it's distracting people from the real evil being perpetrated by our beloved government.

Not only was he a dum ass to shoot the guy in the first place, he didn't even do a good job of it. And it's not like there's a bag limit on lawyers.
